Parents Teacher Meet..

Assalamualaikum,

On every school term, we will arrange a day for our parents and teachers to meet up and talk about their children's progress and achievements throughout the 1st term of school.

Alhamdulillah, this year due to the incising number of student, our parents and teacher meet was held on 10th and 11th of July 2011. We discuss about anything concerning the children from their personal achievement to areas that needed improvement.

July & August Big Bang Birthday Bash..

Assalamualaikum,

It's the time of the month again where we celebrate the turning of age for our students. In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, we've decided to collaborate July's birthday celebration with August's birthday, hence what we called 'The Big Bang Birthday Bash of 2011'.

The children basically knew that today was going to be, a day to remember as soon as they start seeing boxes after boxes of goodies beg, Tupperware after Tupperware of contributed food and also 7 birthday cakes came parading down the hall and it didn't stop there :)

We were so grateful to have a special visit from 'Mr Clown' again for the second time of the year, maasya-Allah. Thank you so much parents, words cannot describe our deepest gratitude. May Allah rewards you with the highest rewards for all your generosity, amin.

The children was over the moon with joy, getting a personalize sculptured balloon of their choice, watching a magic show performance, participating in 'Limbo Dance' contest and playing games conducted by the performer.

Mid Term Exams & Assesment Week

Assalamualaikum and Good Morning,

Today marked as the the first day of examination and assessment week for our young caliphs at LCPS. Our 6yrs old will be having their exams meanwhile the 5 yrs and 4 yrs will be assess by their teacher on lesson taught for the past 6 month, guided by the Ministry of Education's standard instruments.

The children exam and assessment consist of all aspect, particularly reading and writing abilities, communication skills between teachers and peers, physical development, Islamic knowledge which consist of akhlaq, adab, seerah, hafazan, sociology and emotional development, cognitive skills and in related subjects such as English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics and Science.

We used our main hall as the examination hall complete with signs around the hall to maintain the noise level to the minimum. The children were briefed prior to each papers, and should they need to ask any question, all they need to do is to raise up their hand. Most important, there will no speaking allowed between students, just like the examination we use to take in our school days.

Day 1 went smoothly with no incident, Alhamdulillah. It seems that the children understood the full concept of examination and assessment.

Good luck children. Take your time in answering all the question, when in doubt just ask your teachers. InsyAllah.

LC Annual Sports Day 2011 part 2 ....

Assalamualaikum,

The 6yrs old student participated in 3 event : Walking Turtle, Pyramid Cup and the finale event 'Run Caliphs Run'. They had waited patiently and now its their turn to take the stage, all pumped up and excited.

Unfortunately our school photographer could only snaps the photos from the sideline unlike on previous event. Nevertheless we still manage to capture some interesting photos. As the day get brighter and hotter, somehow the most inner track gets softer. We had to help some student with the turtle walk as the equipment sank into the track which make it even harder for the children to walk on.

While the children were on break before the award presentation ceremony, the parents participated in the 'Siamese Chicken' event created especially for LC parents. It was a sweet ending to a hard day when we heard that we became the 'LC Annual Sports Day 2011', Champion! Masya-Allah. Congratulation to all our caliphs for all the hard work. You really deserve the win for never giving up even when we were last. Slow and steady wins the race, Alhamdulillah.

LC Annual Sports Day 2011 - part 1

Assalamualaikum,

First and foremost we would like to thank Allah for His blessing and guidance in making this event a success. Our first sports day was jointly organized with 3 other Little Caliphs programmed operator; LC Bangi Sek 3, LC Bangi Sek. 7 and LC GMI.

We were the 'Chilli Red' that day where all of our children was in their red sports attire complete with cap. Their parents and family too was in our school color to show their support!

The day started with an Official Parade ceremony where all participating students from all school marched to the track. Once all 4 colors was at the grand stand, the children start to recite dua's, pledge, dance exercise and lastly, the school cheer.

The opening event was held by the 4 yrs old where they participated in 2 event; Crawl Baby Crawl and Basket Balls. We receive few penalties as some of our students missed out few step in the event. Our spirit was still high as we were too excited to see the children enjoying themselves. Check them out in action!

Up next was the 5 yrs old student. They participated in 3 event : Balancing Act, Hop Hop Don't Drop & Pop And Plop. The teachers was still cheering and giving them morale support even though on some event we finished last. By the time they completed all event, we were few points behind the leaders and runner up in the overall point standing.
